Debian 8.0 JESSIE release celebrations

Debian is a free operating system working on Linux kernel which came into existence as an outcome of the revolutionary ideas in the world of computing to make software free and sharable. On 25th of the April, Debian 8.0 Jessie was released. To celebrate this IEEE SB CET along with SPACE (Society For Promotion of Alternative Computing and Employment) had a group discussion on Open source software, the discussion consisted of its origin to its current state, the scenarios that led to the development of Open source software, how can we as students contribute to the open source community and how we benefit by doing so. To heighten the celebration we cut a cake dedicated to Debian 8.0.
