6.OUTREACHING YOUNG WOMEN

In a state with restrictions on women involvement from society and opportunity, WIE Affinity Group of IEEE Student branch College of Engineering Trivandrum embarked its journey with a vision of empowering women to take up challenges in their interest areas and to excel in it.

One of the main event by the group is the WIE STAR with the vision to empower girls technically giving the high school girls an idea about engineering and other options .(Refer 3.a.1)

We have conducted basic technical workshops like PCB designing and soldering, computer assembling so as to make young women engineers excel in their field (Refer 3.c.1 & 3.c.2)

Besides, we have regular C++ classes and Microcontroller classes for them to expand their knowledge. (Refer 3.d.10 & 3.d.11)

Apart from this we encourage our group members to conduct various events (Refer 3.a,3.b,3.c,3.d) and our group is so proud to show the lists of posts held by our members (Refer 5 –table)

We have always made sure the participation of our members in almost all the IEEE events held in the state or Country and even outside the country (Refer 3.f)

Above all, we promote our members to give a hand to those young women who are held backwards so that we can all together empower women and outreach all the unreachable.
